Anyone have any idea how I can get mceAuction working in Windows 7? It installed fine but since then I've been unable to get it working?

I'm getting a INVALID APPLICATION dialog popup. "unable to launch 'mceAuction Background Listener' error.

    Hi all

I see the last post was a few months and this may be fixed now.

In case anyone still has a problem with this there is a fix. Well this worked for me....

The install copies the file mceSkypeListener.dll to \Program Files\mcephone, this dll has the version 3.0.0.5.

In the registry there is a key under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Extensibility\Entry Points\{35626... called AddIn.

If you search for mceSkypeListener you'll get to this key.

In the value there is mceSkypeListener, version=x.x.x.x.

If you change the version to match the version of your dll you should be right.

On my install the version was 3.0.0.4. I changed to 3.0.0.5, restarted media center and I no longer get the background listener error.

I have only tested chat at this stage and I get a notification in to say a new message has come in.

Hopefully this should fix this error for you.

I have a few other niggling problems with mcePhone and will be looking into these too.
