TV Pack 2008 - Series Record Data Resolution

    All,

With our services deployment the week of June 12th there was a data issue which has created some problems around series recordings on Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008. The changes in this data have since been resolved, however may require some action by users who have since created a new series recording, or have attempted to fix a broken series record.

If you fall into either of these two scenarios, the correction of the data will now cause future recordings of that series request to fail. The way to resolve this however is to simply go into your guide, progress through your schedule to an upcoming instance of the show which is not identified as a series record pending(no 3 red dots on the schedule entry). Once you’ve come to this point, simply click record twice on your remote or other valid record input function which will resolve the record series issue going forward from that date.

Just so everyone is clear, if you have not done anything with your series record settings, or setup new series recordings since the week of June 12th, you are not affected by this change. Only those who have since this timeframe either scheduled a new series recording, or found a current series recording to be broken and resolved it by setting up a new series record.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ping me and I’ll be happy to help answer any questions as well as if you are still unclear if this affects you.

**NOTE** If you think this issue may be affecting you, due to the time it takes for all users to receive updated data, I suggest nobody make any changes for at least 12 hours from this posting. This will assure you have received the updated data.
