I am not very technical at all and for quite a while I have been trying to put together a home system that can be used in 2 rooms. I am looking for a consultant that can help me in direction in equipment, software and implimentation.
This is what I am trying to do.
I want to have a computer in my living and in my bedroom that can watch movies, listen to music, and access files from one area. I want to store all of my movies from DVD to files at the highest resolution. I am also wanting to store movies for my iphone.
What I have now...
Sony VGX-XL2 - 2GB Ram, 320GB hard Drive, 2 - 200 DVD/DVR Mega Changer that can be linked to each other. (Want to keep this in bedroom)
NAS with 1 TB Storage
1 Sharp 27" Flat Panel
1 Samsung 47" Flat panel 1 Month old
I was maybe thinking about getting one of those Dell Studio Hybrids with Blue Ray for living room but I don't know if they are powerful enough. I am also willing to custom build whatever is needed.
I am looking for a state of the art solution and willing to pay for both hardware and software needed to make this a great system. I have access to servers, Microsoft Small business server software, and anything else needed to make this happen.
