Re: Media Browser- iTunes Trailer icon

    bcmiguel:
I set icons for hd and dvd but was wondering how or is it possible to add an icon for the iTunes Trailers as it just shows as a transparent folder.

    from http://www.mediabrowser.tv/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2345

"to get an icon for itunes trailers try placing a folder in imagesbyname as trailers then a jpg or png as folder.jpg and that should become an icon for itunes."

Since you probably have a transparent icon, it's most likely a png. Rename the file to folder.jpg (keep in mind it still should formatted as a png just named a jpg). Go to the C:\ProgramData\Mediabrowser folder in Win7 (or the Vista equivalent) and make a folder called "imagesbyname". Inside of that folder, make a folder called "iTunes Trailers" and drop the folder.jpg file inside. Might want to close and reopen MCE.

    XPS 420: Intel Q6600 2.4GHz CPU, ATi Radeon 5670, 3GB DDR2 RAM 800MHz, 320GB HDD for OS, 2x 1TB HDD for Recordings, 16X DVD-RW, 3 x ATi CableCard

    7MC Client: Intel Pentium E5300 2.6GHz CPU, nVidia GT 220, Intel DG45ID mobo, 4GB DDR2 RAM 800Mhz (32 Bit limits RAM to 3GB), 500GB HDD, LG Blu-Ray drive

Both systems run Windows 7 x86, Media Browser, Media Control, Shark007 Codec Pack. Decoding of h.264 via CoreAVC for nVidia and ffdshow-tryouts for ATi.

Re: Media Browser- iTunes Trailer icon

Well, I give up - it WILL  not work on my HTPC at home, but works FINE on my VM W7 system at work! If I reset all settings, the London weather shows up, if I change it to my location, no weather icon, Music shows all the artist folders, and when I go into the folders, it shows the album folders with cover art, but when I open an album, it shows 0/0 for the songs! Recorded TV gives me a "files not present to display video" error UNTIL I go and play the file from the Recorded TV part of MC, then MB will play it fine. Videos seem to work fine. I haven't tridd trailers, will try this weekend.

What a shame, I was really excited when I played with it on my VM W7 system at work.

    Phil,

Did you get the media browser working on your 360?  I have tried everything, and just cannot get it running.

I have Windows 7 x64 running, with all my movies stored on my WHS.  I have tried all settings, but when I load Media Browser on my 360, there is nothing in the folder to select?  No files folders or nothing.

When I run it on my Windows 7 machine, everything is there just fine.  But cant get the 360 going at all.

I would post my problem on the forums if I could get a response from my registering on the site early last week and not receiving any confirmation yet!

How do I get some response out of the MediaBrowser forum administrator? I applied for an account over a week ago, and have heard nothing! I would very much like to discuss my issues on the forum, since it doesn't seem the programmer ever visits here.

Well, it was community.mediabrowser.tv that I registered for, and STILL haven't received anything confirming my registration. I cannot find any contact details on your blog, unless you're talking about your details. I will send you an email.

    Re: New Video Browser Plugin

Is there any chance someone could compile the latest source and post it somewhere? Thanks

    Re: New Video Browser Plugin

Is the 'sort by year' going to be fixed, or is it something I can fix?

Currently, when I choose to sort titles by year, it sorts them with the earliest one first.  I would rather have the oldest one first.  For example, when I sort the Harry Potter movies by year, it gives me the Halft-Blood Prince first.  I want the Sorcerer's Stone first, for obvious reasons.

So, right now, anything I have sorted by year (to me) is backwards.

    Re: New Video Browser Plugin

Well, I'm annoyed with the new 2.2.2 release.  Everything is fine, except the 'Thumb Strip' for my TV Series is acting different, and I can't get it back to how I had it.

It use to be a sigle row of Covers along the bottom, and I could scroll left or right to go through all of the shows.  Now, it's a bunch of rows, and I can only scroll left or right so far, then have to scroll down.  I DO NOT LIKE THIS!!!

I have my movies set the same way, but that didn't change (still single row).  No matter what I do, it will not let me set the TV Shows back to a single row.

    Anyone else have this problem??

Hi, ( I have a similar problem on my home screen. I have set icons for the three sources I have but as the Apple Trailers is a plug-in I don't have an icon for it. I tried putting the icon in a few different folders (Trailers, Apple Trailers, iTunes Trailers) under c:/ProgramData/MediaBrowser/ImagesByName/Genre and putting the PNG image in the folder and calling it folder.jpg. No luck, still looks like this http://cld.ly/3f1nrp Can anyone help? Cheers, Cam

My icons for Apple Trailers Works perfectly.  Just make sure you store your folder.jpg in a folder with exactly the same name as your Apple Trailers name in Media Browser (you can edi the name in the config). The newer versions of Media Browser now have a revamped icon directory folder naming system, so I think your new Apple Trailers folder needs to be stored inside the General folder within your ImagesByName.  Your issue is likely related to where you put the folder (Genre),  If the General folder doesn't work, try the other ones.  BTW, the new upgrade of Media Browser is even better, and the new Simplicity Theme outstanding.

    imagesbyname/general/apple trailers

    Is what i have....

But the big question i have is when did apple trailers start working again? i removed it as it hadn't worked in so long and the film trailers plug-in is pretty grim....
