I tried searching the other thread, but its a big mess,

Is it true the Nvidia Purevideo decoder does not work with the DVR2WMV? I tried a trial version of that software and kept getting "Exception from HRESULT: 0x80078065." Installed PowerDVD and I am no longer getting that error.

Damn! This could really be a cool app!

Can't get it to work on my MCE machine though... seems like it does find commercials on the right stops (after checking in the generated xml-files) but the commercial skip addon for MCE doesn't do it's job. It neatly asks if I want to analyse the file, and ands the file in the que.

When the xml file is generated, it doesn't ask for the file again (so it obviesly can find it) but it doesnt seem to read from it. Neither the autoskip or the manual skip function will work.

I have the swedish rollup 2 MCE.

    suggestions?

    Get following error during installation...

Exception occurred while initializing the installation:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: File or assembly name DVRMSToolbox.exe, or one of

    its dependencies, was not found.

    Any ideas?

    Thx, Terry

Downloaded the installation again, verified I have the latest version of the Windows installer (3.1), and now I'm getting the following error:

Exception occurred whil initializing the installation: System.IO.FileLoadException: Strong name validation failed for assembly 'DVRMSToolbox.exe'..

I get that error twice, then it says "Could not find file "c:\program files\dvrmstoolbox\dvrmsfilewatcherservice.InstallState".

    The installation then rolls back.

Thanks for the help...I loved the earlier version and hope to get this one up and running...

    Terry

It works, but you have to use version 1.02-185.
The newest 1.02-196 seems to have a problem with DVR2WMV

    get it here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder_1.02-185-trial.html
If you can't see the fnord, it can't eat you.

    will do!

Found another issue (maybe allready reported):
I can't navigate the more-info-menu while watching TV in fullscreen mode without activating the functions in the commercial skip addin. This is quite enoying, cause it makes it inpossible to user mce messenger.

By the way: Is there any way to change the path where the commercial skip addin looks for xml-files? I would like to change the standard "c:\programs\DVRMSToolbox\Commercialskip" path to a network path (i.e. the same path where I store the recorded TV). I record my TV to a central server in the house and I want the server to take care of finding commercials and generating xmls. In that way I wont slow down the htpc. (And also the LAN is going mad of transfering files back and forth).

Could somebody please help me out. I am able to use the program to process individual files, however, I can't get the filewatcher to work.

Here's what I did after installation:
    1.Run Regesiter comskip
    2.Run dvrstompeg settings
    3.Specify temp directory
4.put input folder as where my recorded tv gets saved
    5.sepecify output directory
    6.save/close
    7.Run processing condition
8.Change both conditions to dvrms to mpeg w/o commercials
    9.save/close
    10. Go to mce and push record button on whatever is playing.
    11. check output folder... find nothing.
    12. Check proccesses, find filewatcher process is running.

anyways, I'm not sure if i missed a step somewhere, but It seems i did everything right.

not right now... there's no way to detect if a dialog is being shown, so the addin does it's thing.

not currently... i can take this as a feature request for the next rev.

I D'led the installation file and attempted to install it.

During installation I got a message about the "Recorded TV Path not specidfied in registry".

I moved forward with the installation then get to the DVMRSToolBoxSettings and Attempt to enter G:\Temp or G:\My Videos in the DVMRSToolbox tab for the Temp Directory entry. I get "Input String was not in a correct format" when I attempt to save.

What do I do to get this to work?

    Thanks!
