Hi,

I have had a couple of incarnations of MCE running including Vista. Long story short, I have decided to go back to MCE2005 following some Vista issues.

I have reinstalled a grand total of 5 times now, each time trying something different (order of loading drivers, driver versions, etc) all to no avail.

There is no specific time it locks. It could be as soon as the menu comes up. It could be 30 seconds or 45 minutes into Live TV or a movie (never longer than that). When it does lock, it locks completely. No task manager to end process, a hard reset is all that will solve the problem. If it helps, when it locks during LiveTV, video will freeze and audio will continue for a few seconds before it too stops, there is no audio stutter. I should point out that previously MCE2005 ran flawlessly on the system.

I am running a P4 (3.4GHz) Intel CPU, 2Gig RAM, Asus P5LD2 M/B, GeForce 7600GS video card, 2 x PVR2000 TV Cards.

I am really at my wits end trying to find a solution for this. I have tried re-registering some of the processes, as pointed out in other threads, which again doesn't resolve the issue.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
